DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: A DOCUMENTARY

BiKlops Design runs on three things: that kind of glue that has glitter already in it, the company of two very angry cats, and our monthly D&D nights. This year marks Dungeons & Dragons 40th anniversary, and with it Iconoscope films is Kickstarting a documentary. D&D was a huge influence and comfort (I was a nerd, people!) to me growing up and I can’t wait to see the finished film. Take a look at the trailer above and then go donate!

If the BiKlops offices have a singular mantra it is ‘more swords’! Nice to see someone is listening.

From Nothing, Something

A new documentary by Tim Cawley explores the universal nature of the creative process. From musicians to artists to cancer researchers, all successful creative people share the ability to be inspired, the need to seek that inspiration out and a commitment to seeing the project through until something tangible exists. Until something comes from nothing.

I’m very excited to see this film and am hoping, fingers crossed, we get a Kansas City screening.

IMDABES

Could I be any more in love with this? I know it’s already made the rounds but so what? Still golden.

LOOK

No seriously, look! How could you not? Dat ass belongs to the Sebastian Tellier’s video Look. It’s been around for awhile but it’s still mesmerizing.

Uh, Yeah. Not sure.

This is the future of media.

Or at least I wish it was. Everything about this is pure perfection. From the robotic Sims3 avatar animations to the backgrounds of burning pig pieces.

This is what post-apocalyptic coffee shops sound like.

Best thing I’ve seen all year.  THE BEST!

Matta – Release The Freq

Insane video by Kim Holm for Matta’s Release the Freq video.

Matta’s new record Prototype is available on Ad Noiseum now.  Plenty of .mp3s to stream there and even better news (for me); it’s available on Rdio!
